What should I do if the amplifier disconnects during a session?

If the SAM amplifier disconnects during a session, first check that the amplifier is powered on, selected correctly in the software, and that Bluetooth is enabled and stable. Most disconnections are related to Bluetooth connectivity or environmental interference and can be resolved by checking these factors.

Check amplifier power and selection

If a disconnection occurs, confirm that the SAM amplifier is still powered on. In the SAM software, ensure the correct amplifier is selected as the active data source in the settings. An unpowered or unselected amplifier can cause the connection to drop.

Verify Bluetooth connection

The SAM amplifier connects wirelessly via Bluetooth. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on the computer and that the connection is stable. Repeated disconnections can occur if Bluetooth is disabled, unstable, or disrupted by other nearby Bluetooth devices.

Reduce Bluetooth and electromagnetic interference

Environmental interference can affect the amplifier connection. To improve stability:
  • Reduce Bluetooth interference by disconnecting other Bluetooth devices.
  • Keep the amplifier at least 30–50 cm away from laptops, docking stations, monitors, power supplies, and other large electronic equipment.
  • Place the amplifier on the user’s chest or on a nearby desk rather than directly next to major electronics.

Restart the amplifier if needed

If disconnections continue after checking power, selection, and interference, restarting the amplifier can help re‑establish a stable connection.

Notes

  • The SAM amplifier requires Bluetooth 5.0 support on the computer for reliable wireless signal transmission.
  • Persistent connection issues are often related to environmental or Bluetooth interference rather than hardware failure.
