Why did my EEG upload fail?

If an EEG recording cannot be uploaded or processed in neurocare OS, the issue is typically related to the recording file, upload process, or system permissions.

 Common causes

Unsupported file format

The selected EEG file may not be in a supported format.

What to do:

  • Verify that the recording was exported correctly from the EEG acquisition software.
  • Confirm that the file format is supported by your neurocare OS configuration.

Incomplete or corrupted file

The EEG recording may not have been exported successfully, resulting in an incomplete or damaged file.

What to do:

  • Open the file locally to verify it was saved correctly.
  • Re-export the recording from the source system if necessary.
  • Upload the new file again.

Upload interruption

An unstable internet connection or browser interruption may cause the upload to fail.

What to do:

  • Check your internet connection.
  • Refresh the page and try the upload again.
  • Avoid closing the browser while the upload is in progress.

Processing error

In some cases, the recording uploads successfully but cannot be processed.

What to do:

  • Wait a few minutes and refresh the patient record.
  • Verify that all required EEG data was collected during the recording.
  • Try uploading the file again.

Insufficient permissions

Your user role may not have permission to upload EEG recordings.

What to do:

  • Contact your clinic administrator.
  • Verify that your account has access to EEG-related functions.

When to contact support

Contact support if:

  • The upload repeatedly fails with the same file.
  • Multiple EEG files fail to process.
  • Error messages continue after re-uploading the recording.
  • The recording remains in a processing state for an extended period.

Providing the patient ID, upload date, and any error messages can help support investigate the issue more quickly.
