What User Roles Are Available in Stimware?
Stimware provides four user roles: Admin, Creator, Operator, and Viewer. Each role has a different level of access, ranging from full system administration to read-only access. This article explains the permissions associated with each role and helps users understand which role is appropriate for their responsibilities within the Apollo TMS system.
Overview
Stimware includes four user roles that control what actions users can perform within the system. These roles help ensure that users only have access to the functions appropriate for their responsibilities.
The available user roles are:
- Admin
- Creator
- Operator
- Viewer
User permissions are assigned in descending order, with Admin having the highest level of access and Viewer having the most limited access.
Admin
Admin users have full access to the system.
They can:
- View patient, protocol, and session information
- Create, edit, and delete patients and protocols
- Start, pause, and stop stimulation sessions
- Change system settings
- Create new users
- Reset user passwords
- Change user roles
- Delete users
- Manage system administration settings
Creator
Creator users can manage clinical workflows and treatment information.
They can:
- View patient, protocol, and session information
- Create, edit, and delete patients and protocols
- Start, pause, and stop stimulation sessions
- Change settings
- Create Operator and Viewer accounts
Creators cannot reset passwords or change the permissions of other users.
Operator
Operator users are responsible for carrying out treatment sessions.
They can:
- View patient, protocol, and session information
- Select patients and protocols
- Adjust stimulation intensity
- Add sessions
- Start, pause, and stop stimulation sessions
- Create Viewer accounts
Operators cannot modify protocols, edit patient information, or change system settings.
Viewer
Viewer users have read-only access.
They can:
- View patient, protocol, and session information
- Access Help resources
- Change their own password
Viewers cannot start treatment sessions, modify data, or change settings.
Important Notes
- Only medically trained personnel should be assigned Admin, Creator, or Operator roles.
- Viewer accounts may be assigned to individuals who only require access to view information.
- Patients should never use Stimware or its accessories, except approved EMG devices and electrodes when applicable.
